Great Yarmouth Town FC and the Youth Strand have formally merged into One Club from February 2021. A shared vision and ethos runs through the whole club now, with ambitious plans to grow the youth section in coming months / years.
The joint venture with the Adult strand provides a solid foundation to develop the clubs ambitious development plans. The Youth Development plan focuses on the following areas;
1) Management structure of the Youth strand – including finance/administration
2) Community – How the youth strand supports the broader club charitable and community ethos – links to schools and businesses as well as charity partner initiatives.
3) Growth & Retention – We aim to grow the number of teams and players in the youth strand whilst retaining players across the development pathway into adult game
4) Developing better players – A club commitment into investing into the coach workforce and coaching plans to support developing better players within the club
5) Facilities – Looking at how we can improve our facilities available to all players and families within the club with ambitious development plans across all playing sites.
