Great Yarmouth Town FC would like to place on record our huge gratitude and sincere thanks to our local MP Mr Rupert Lowe who has very kindly donated his first months MPs Salary to our Football Club to help with an upcoming and much needed project to refurbish our run-down and tired looking Tea Hut at the Wellesley. This work will not only help GYTFC but also Gorleston FC and The Great Yarmouth Athletics Club who all use this facility on a regular basis.
This is an incredibly generous donation that will vastly improve the hospitality experience for many people at the ground for a lot of years to come. We will work with all clubs and the Council on delivering this project with updates provided via our social media platforms. Through our linked GYT CIC we are working to help our local Community in many ways and this project will also help promote the work that we are doing and will continue to do to make our Town a better place. Again, Rupert thank you so much for your hugely appreciated kind gesture.
Rupert Lowe:
“Local football clubs do such wonderful work for the community, and Great Yarmouth Town FC is leading the way in doing exactly that. I couldn’t be happier to support their efforts in this small way and look forward to helping the club however I can as the town’s MP.
The work they do is instrumental in giving young boys and girls an outlet for their boundless energy – focusing that on developing skills and becoming part of a team.
We’re very lucky to have the Bloaters, and a number of other local clubs spread across a variety of sports and activities. I plan to use my influence to support them all.”
